Mitch has worked for 34 years in management assessment and executive coaching. After obtaining a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1975 he worked in Human Resource roles in 3 industries and has been in consulting full time since 1985. From 1986 to 2006 he was based in the UK.

Much of his work involves conducting individual assessments for selection or development but he also has extensive experience in designing and running assessment centres. From 2001 until he left the UK in mid 2006 he was an associate executive coach with Ashridge Management College. He has been self-employed since 1994.

Clients he has worked for include: Carillion, Nortel, Royal Bank of Scotland, the NHS, DFID, BAE, Naaco, Agip Oil, Ford Motor Co., Applied Biosystems, Ashridge Management College, Dixons(Mastercare), Magnox, Abbey National, MOD, BOC, GMAC, Eon, National Grid, Loblaws Foods, Halton Regional Police Service, The World Health Organization and the National Australia Bank (Clydesdale, Yorkshire Banks), Mott MacDonald, BBC.

His favourite non-work activity, other than travelling, wining and dining, is writing: books and articles on leadership and management. He has 3 grandchildren.
